Welcome to Grappling With SEND In Education — a platform dedicated to supporting, empowering, and inspiring learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities through adaptive teaching, literacy development, and inclusive practice.
I am an English teacher, SEND advocate, and lifelong grappler who specialises in helping students overcome barriers to learning in GCSE English. My work focuses on improving reading, spelling, communication, confidence, and oracy for learners with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, SEMH needs, and other additional needs.
Drawing inspiration from the world of grappling and wrestling, I believe education is about resilience, adaptability, discipline, and finding ways for every learner to succeed.
Through practical strategies, intervention approaches, and inclusive classroom practice, my mission is to help teachers, parents, and students build stronger minds, stronger voices, and brighter futures.
